laptop you can write on

Do you write your stories on paper and tranfer to laptop or only on laptop?
i dunno i wrote my last story on my laptop but i gets slightly irritating because it’s bad for your eyes, and wrists thumbs etc. And i write ALL the time.
So i know j.k rowling ( my biggest inspiration in the whole wide world) wrote Altot on paper then typed it up. i know it’s slower but it’s less…dangerous? Is that the right word?
Just want to know what you guys do out of curiosity
Personally, I like to write on paper, and then copy up, if need be, onto a laptop, simply because when that special mood comes over you then by the time the laptop has fired up then you’ve again been plunged back into reality.
I know that many people can sit and write behind a screen, but paper seems so much more out there, living it. It is the impulsive option.
Your point about practicality is a good one – living with writing on a screen can easily result in what I like to think of as gamer’s sight: the inability to focus on anything but a screen for long periods.
A thought provoking question, especially seeing as it seems so simple to begin with.
